Supreme Court vs. Superior Court
The Riverside Superior Court is not the same as the state’s Supreme Court. For example, the former is a trial court, while the latter is the highest appellate court in the state. The Superior Court has county-level jurisdiction over court cases. In contrast, the Supreme Court’s jurisdiction is statewide, and it covers appeals concerning judgments in lower courts and the court of appeals.
